Is the preview banner the real one?
Yes: it is the same banner Cookie Smart installs on customers' websites, with the same preferences, the same cookie declaration and the same behaviour. In the preview cookies stay in memory and no choice is recorded.
What makes it compliant with the Italian DPA guidelines?
“Reject” is as prominent as “Accept”, the X closes the banner as a rejection, no category is pre-ticked, there is no cookie wall and the choice can be changed at any time. Above all, tracking scripts stay blocked until the visitor consents.
How do I install it on my website?
Create your account, add your website and paste one line of code as the first element of the <head>. With WordPress and PrestaShop there is the plugin or the module: just enter the site key. Colours, position and texts are then changed from the dashboard.
Does the banner really block Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and YouTube?
Yes. Cookie Smart blocks the scripts and iframes of tracking services before they start, also server-side with the WordPress plugin and the PrestaShop module, and supports Google Consent Mode v2. The website scan finds the services to block.
Is the banner multilingual?
Yes, in Italian and English: the banner picks the page language by itself. Texts can be customised for each language.
