Is the check really free?

Yes, no registration and no email. We analyse the home page of the website and show you the result right away.

What exactly does it check?

We open the home page of the website as a visitor who has not chosen anything in the banner yet: we check which cookies are set, which external services are contacted and whether there is a banner with buttons to accept and reject.

If the result is "compliant", am I compliant?

It is a good sign, but the check covers only the home page and the moment before the choice. Compliance also depends on the other pages, the privacy notice, the consent log and what happens after a rejection.

Do you keep data about me?

We do not ask for your email and we do not store your IP address in clear: to limit use to one check per day we keep, for 24 hours, only an encrypted fingerprint of the IP, not linked to the result. The result stays available for 7 days; for statistics we keep for 12 months only the domain checked, the date and the outcome. Details in the privacy policy.
